Ts Candii is a phenomenal leader in the black trans community and a powerful force for change. She is the founder of Black Trans Nation, a nonprofit policy changer and political advocate. She also uses her voice as an activist to cut through the noise of society and fight for the rights of black trans people.
Candii is best known for her book, “Becoming Candii” which became a best seller on Amazon. In it, she shares her story of resilience, passion, and ambition. From the struggles she faced as a gender nonconforming kid in a small southern town, to the success she achieved in spite of it all. Candii’s story is one of hope and a true testament to the power of self-actualization.
In addition to writing and advocating for trans rights, Candii also works as an educator and mentor for queer youth of color. She strives to provide them with the resources and support they need to live a safe and empowered life. Candii is also the co-founder of Trans Girls Rising, a social justice movement that seeks to celebrate the unique experiences of trans women of color.
